Open Positions

We are excited to work with people who are interested in understanding the kinetics of catalytic reactions. The ideal applicant will be excited to work at the interface of experiments, applied mathematics, and data science, and energize the new research team. However, all positions are filled at the moment of writing (April 2026). Due to funding limitations, people interested in joining our group are expected to secure their own salary, such as through the scholarship programs listed below. English will be the main langauge for scientific communication within our group. More details on mentoring policy and expectations can be found here.

For Postdocs

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is the biggest funder for postdoc scholarships in Japan. The details can be found here. This program is quite competitive, but are typically considered to be among the best postdoc positions in Japan in terms of financial support and prestige. Standard applications are due around April or May each year. There is another call usually around August for people coming from outside Japan. Please also consider the ICYS program, which is an institite-specific postdoc program. Deadlines are usually in March and September.
